Transfer means bringing over. This series aims to transfer traditional techniques into the contemporary. I want to transfer waste that is considered worthless into a new worth. The pieces combine techniques such as knotting and crochet with the unnatural (or increasingly natural?) material plastic, thus creating an unreal landscape of surreal pieces of jewellery.
The pieces are created purely from impuls, from letting the process shape itself, without imposing rationality onto the material. Allowing a free conversation between hands and material echoes the soul of each in the particular moment of creation. Reminiscent of a organs like the heart, a symbol of raw life force, while being made from plastics that are gradually dampening ours
