Longing for touch. Longing for closeness. Longing for belonging in a world designed for isolation. What is neglected for a long time will cover itself with a dark shell for supposed protection. The heart inside, however, will sprout again and again. This series of brooches was inspired by nerve endings whose imaginary continuation yearns for entanglement with others, longing to be knots in a strong web of real connection.
